Call for PapersThe Program Committee strongly encourages you to submit a paper (or papers) to be presented orally or as a poster(s) at LatinDisplay 2014. In presenting a paper, you will benefit from this privileged forum to discuss technical and scientific work on displays and related technologies. Your paper may be on a wide variety of relevant topics on displays and related technologies such as (but not limited to): • Displays (LCDs, AM-LCDs, OLEDs, plasma, reflective, transparent, flexible, 3D, projection, electrophoretic, video walls etc) To submit a paper (or papers) to LatinDisplay 2014 see “Paper Submission”, observing that you must be registered at Latin display 2014. To register see “Registration”. If you have a preference for presenting your paper orally or in a poster, please, indicate, although the Program Committee reserves the right to consider your submission for either oral or poster presentation. The accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of LatinDisplay 2014. The Serial of the Proceedings of LatinDisplay 2014 is indexed at the Library of Congress, in Washington D.C., as ISSN 1946-3871. According to their relevance, full manuscripts of papers presented at LatinDisplay 2014 may be recommended for publication in the “Journal of the Society for Information Display” (JSID). For more information about this reputed periodical see "Journal of SID”. SID recognizes this Conference for awarding Senior Member Grade to SID members. For more information see “SID Recognition”. Paper SubmissionAbstracts of 1 page maximum must be submitted electronically for refereeing until October 10th and must be prepared according to the Abstract Template. Abstract acceptance will be notified through email by October 15th, 2014. Papers of 2 pages minimum and 8 pages maximum must be submitted electronically for refereeing to be included in the Proceedings of LatinDisplay 2014, by November 10th, 2014 and must be prepared according to the Paper Template. The Serial of the Proceedings of LatinDisplay is indexed at the Library of Congress, in Washington D.C., as ISSN 1946-3871. Registration in the website is a pre-requisite for abstracts and paper submission. The accepted abstracts will be published in the Advance Program. Authors are asked to indicate their preference as to oral or poster presentation; however, the Program Committee reserves the right to consider your submission for either oral or poster presentation. Evaluation of submitted papersSubmitted papers will be evaluated by the Program Committee, that will approve or not the publication in the Proceedings of LatinDisplay 2014. Journal of SIDFull manuscripts of papers presented at LatinDisplay 2012/IDRC 2012 will be selected by the Program Committee according to their scientific and technical relevance and originality, text clarity and organization; they will be recommended for publication in the “Journal of the Society for Information Display” (JSID). Paper acceptance by JSID depends on the criteria of the Board of Editors of JSID. SID RecognitionThe Senior Member Grade Committee of SID recognizes Latin Display Conferences for awarding Senior Member Grade to SID Members. Paper publications in the Proceedings of Latin Display conferences are counted against the criteria for papers published in SID sponsored conferences. Senior Members are those individuals who are recognized to have made significant technical contributions to the advancement of displays and who have demonstrated active participation in the display community and in SID. The SID Senior Member Grade Committee evaluates, approves and confers the Senior Member Grade. This Committee is composed of the President-Elect as Chair and of at least three SID Members, one from each Region (Americas, Europe and Asia), being appointed by their respective Regional Vice Presidents.
