We are honored to announce LatinDisplay 2011 to be held at Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI), in Itajubá, MG, Brazil, from August 26th to 31st, 2011. It is also our great pleasure to announce that, this year, LatinDisplay 2011 will join the Brazilian Congress of Vacuum Applications in Industry and Science (XXXII CBRAVIC) promoted by the Brazilian Vacuum Society (SBV). The XXXII CBRAVIC/LatinDisplay 2011 will bring scientists from all over the world to present the latest advances in displays, vacuum science and technology and related areas. It aims to stimulate new research relationships and to encourage those new to these fields.
So, XXXII CBRAVIC/LatinDisplay 2011 will provide the participants with great opportunities to experience and discuss the state-of-the-art in these technologies, as well as exciting new applications.
XXXII CBRAVIC/LatinDisplay 2011 will also provide an update on the status of Brazil in developing displays and on the opportunities for their production in the country, aiming to foster new business and partnership.
XXXII CBRAVIC/LatinDisplay 2011 will consist of:

• Round table and business meetings
• Exhibition
• Exhibitors Forum
• DisplayEscola (Display school)
• Vacuum and Plasma Courses
• Visits to laboratories and companies
XXXII CBRAVIC/LatinDisplay 2011 is organized by the Brazilian Vacuum Society (SBV), Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI), Associação Brasileira de Informática (ABINFO) and Latin American Chapter of the Society for Informationt Display (SID).
The Program Committee and the Organizing Committee of the XXXII CBRAVIC/LatinDisplay 2011 are doing their best to ensure it will be a successful and rewarding conference for all participants.
We welcome specialists and colleagues from scientific and industrial laboratories, professors and students from educational institutions and representatives of companies, funding agencies and government, that will deliver lectures, present papers, contribute in the discussions, exhibit prototypes and products, attend the S&T sessions, DisplayEscola and courses, as well visit the exhibition.
We expect that, as in previous years, XXXII CBRAVIC/LatinDisplay 2011 will be a forum for discovery in these new fields of S&T and continue to foster business connections and cooperation.
